About

In the beginning of 2023 Youth Pastors Jake & Chelsea changed the name of Generation Youth to Radical Youth. This brought about a new vision for a new season. Although, we still believe in the saying ‘Different methods but same message’. We plan on continuing the legacy of Dunamis Youth in a new and God-ordained way.

We are a youth ministry determined to develop and disciple young people to take on life in a way that glorifies Christ. We believe that young people, as all people, need a firm foundation in order to take on the challenges of life. Here at Radical Youth we believe in helping young people recognise that foundation is God. We aim to create a community and safe space where young people from across Logan city are able to come and feel loved and welcomed with open arms (Romans 15:7).

Following the footsteps of previous youth pastors at Dunamis Church, we are constantly innovating new ways to reach young people. Including high school outreach, mentoring programs and much more. Our motto is ‘Go big or go home’, so every Friday night we try and do something different to catch the eye of a young person and let them know that following Jesus is fun.

Our Mission

We firmly believe that Jesus is our message in every way. RY puts Jesus at the centre of all that we do. Every Friday night no matter what we do, our aim is to centre the whole night around Jesus (John 14:6). Young people are our hearts. Young people are the reason we do this. Both pastors and the leadership team at RY are passionate about pouring into the next generation. We believe that the young people we are discipling are the next generation of pastors, leaders, business people & world builders. We treat this responsibility with the up most priority and take our roles very seriously.

Mentoring Groups

On a fortnightly basis we run two mentoring groups on a Sunday afternoon at 3:30pm before our Sunday evening service. These groups are called G-Men & G-Women, they focus on developing godly men and women through studying of scripture and various books revolving around scripture. Ps Jake also runs a men’s mentoring program with grade 10 boys at Springwood State High School called 180 MMP. Mentoring is a vital part of our discipling process and we have seen so much personal, spiritual and mental growth from these programs.

Youth Camp

Youth Camp is a time where young people are able to put aside any distractions that they face in everyday life to focus on God and encountering Jesus in a new way. Each year we hold a youth camp that is tailored for young people to grow and develop as young adults.
